Dr. Michael Kessler was born and raised in Crown Point, Indiana, where his interest in science and helping others first took root — shoutout to Mr. Elston and Mr. Shih for sparking that curiosity early on. He attended Harding University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Psychology. During his time there, he met his wife, Kelsey, who has supported and shared in his journey ever since.

Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Kessler pursued his dental education at the Indiana University School of Dentistry, where he graduated at the top of his class. His passion for creating confident smiles led him to continue at Indiana University, completing a rigorous residency in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.

For more than a decade, Dr. Kessler has traveled on mission trips to Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, where he’s been part of efforts to bring dental care to communities with limited access. After graduating from dental school, he fulfilled a lifelong dream by providing hands-on dental treatment during these trips — an experience that continues to shape his perspective on service, gratitude, and compassionate care.

With a strong foundation in both the science and artistry of orthodontics, Dr. Kessler takes pride in providing personalized, thoughtful care to every patient. His approach combines advanced techniques with a warm, down-to-earth personality, making each visit a positive and comfortable experience.

Outside the office, Dr. Kessler enjoys spending time outdoors and being with his family. His favorite hobbies include woodworking, hiking, fishing, and bicycling. He and Kelsey are proud parents of two sons, who keep them active, curious, and constantly smiling — along with their beloved dog, Sandler.

Dr. Kessler is excited to be serving the wonderful community of Columbus and looks forward to building lifelong smiles and relationships for years to come.
